It was okay... not as good as the previous movies. I'm glad we caught it as a matinee and didn't spend more... renting it on DVD would've been as good.

Different

This movie is very different from the book. I would see it twice. Once to notice the differences and once to enjoy the movie. It does feel like an intermediary movie, but it is, so I don't think that's a huge negative. The visual appeal of the movie is astounding with great direction by Yates. And the acting is quite superb with some really funny scenes

Amazing

This movie will rip an emotional response from you whether you like it or not. The scene when Dumbledore dies was masterful. They really have outdone themselves with this one.

The relationships develope in a way and set of events occur that set up the final battle. I did miss having the final battle in this movie though.

Entertaining, but there were too many variations from the book and one particularly annoying addition; they destroyed The Burrow...WHY??? They also simplified the ending beyond reason. Yates had better get 'The Deatly Hallows' right...

It's what I expected

A lot of people who haven't read the book think this movie is without plot and that it's mediocre. It's not your usual "little Potter and his friends tackle a little mystery and live happily ever after for another year story." It's more mature in content and the plot is a beginning to the over arcing story line that we will follow in the last two movies. If you have read the book then you will appreciate the movie because they fit all the key points into it. Just sit back and enjoy being at Hogwarts again!
