I went to Nonna's on a Friday evening, there were four in our party and we didn't have to wait for seating. We sat in the cozy loft area upstairs overlooking the kitchen. From our vantage point we got to see how the food is prepare and presented and how well the cook and wait staff work together. Everything was done beautifully! Everyone in my party ordered something different and we all sampled each others dishes, everything was delicious. One member in our party order the traditional Lasagna and commented. "When you can take the ordinary to extra-ordinary then you are exceptionally good!" Nonna's is indeed extra-ordinary and I hope it stays that way!
New ownership

My husband and I had quit going to Nonna's about five years ago, b/c of terrible service and food. Rumblings and write-ups in local magazines about new management enticed us to going back to what had once been a favorite. It is now wonderful again. The food is wonderful, the service is fantastic, and we had a wonderful time. I posted only b/c I believe the first two reviews were from before the new management took over. When we asked our server, she said they had purchased the restuarant in May 2006.

I won't go back. The food is okay, but you'll find better if you just keep walking. The service is terrible. I'm not sure why we should be happy to spend money at a restaurant where the staff seem bored by your very presence. The cost was okay, but when I got my credit card bill I found that someone had helped themselves to an extra ten dollars on my tab. The ambiance is loud and frenetic. I don't mind this really, when you're out with friends. The overall experience needs improvement, however, I'll never know because I will NEVER go back, for the dishonesty mostly.

Not the best Italian in town. The atmosphere was great, but the service was not on. I was really disappointed.

I like Nonnas because you can put your feet up, let your hair down, take in the artwork, kiss the cook, and feel full when you leave. Did I mention that the food aint' too shabby? Oh yeah... they have SWEET tea too. And good wine,.... Oh and Tiramasu, too. AND... fresh carrot cake.. and chicken crepes,.. and great normal Joe (coffee). One bad thing about it: When I was finished with my meal last time.. it was cold outside. I guess 2 out of three aint bad. But I'm a stickler. And who knows... maybe Nonnas will put sunshine on the menu next. We'll wait and see. EAT THERE! NOW! DO IT! DON'T LAUGH! JUST GO THERE! Don't say I never gave ya' anything.

This is the best restaurant in America. Try a veggie sandwich for lunch.

Great italian food in a comfy yet elegant atmosphere. Service was a little slow, but the food is worth the wait in the end!
Enjoy

Great little place downtown with wonderful breads and salads. You can enjoy delicious pastas and view the art gallery.
